The ring on this high grade pipe was produced both in 925 silver and in 14K gold and only pipes with fine grain would be mounted with this ring.

Erik Nørding, a native of Copenhagen, Denmark, initially pursued a career in engineering. What started as a mere pastime in pipe carving gradually evolved into a deep passion for professional pipe creation. Over the past four decades, he has established a thriving business that now manufactures an impressive 50,000 pipes annually, with a staggering 90% destined for international markets. Nørding's creative flair isn't limited to pipes; it extends to knife crafting, bespoke machinery, and even the art of barbecuing. As both a blacksmith and engineer, he possesses a profound understanding of the machinery involved in pipe-making. Interestingly, it wasn't a fondness for carpentry that drew him to this craft, but rather his exceptional skill with machines.

Nørding pipes boast stems meticulously handcrafted, even though they're produced in a batch-style assembly line to optimize cost efficiency. The "Free-hands" category, the most budget-friendly in the Nørding collection, gets its foundational shape from a fraising machine, uniquely modified by Nørding with parts from government aircraft. Once the initial shape is carved, these free-hands are individually refined using sanding discs, colored in diverse hues, and equipped with vulcanite stems. On the other hand, the "Handmades" are treated with extra attention and distinctiveness, showcasing acrylic mouthpieces. Their standout feature, however, is the superior grain quality. Every month sees the production of around 300 of these Handmade pipes.
