For the Visual Condition of this large mahogany Hammond Spin-Start Tambour Mantel Clock, please review the 11 high-resolution Photos and the Video (of the clock running) that are included in this listing. This clock Runs & Keeps Time. The spin-start functions well and is an interesting feature. The clock also has a gold-and-black spining indicator dot at the lower center of the dial that shows that the clock is running (as does the sweep second hand, of course). We have replaced the cord with a period-correct dark brown Rayon cord and a vintage Bakelite plug. This clock will look sharp at the center atop any mantel, or as a shelf clock too.Clock dates to probably 1929-1941 (83 to 95 years old).
