This is a circa 19th century glass plate positive image of Niagara Falls. The edges were professionally taped at the time it was made. The very slow shutter speed used gives the mighty waters of Niagara a soft appearance. Maybe it was a souvenir made to place or hang in your window at home? I don’t just know. 8”x10”. THERE IS A SMALL FLAW IN THE EMULSION, PROBABLY FROM WHEN IT WAS PUT TOGETHER. I didn’t even notice when I took the first photos. I have zoomed in on it in the last 3 photos.
