Antique New York Yacht Club Minton - Higgins & Seiter - Small Platter with New York Yacht Club Burgee, Private Signal of Paul C. Nicholson & small masquerade mask.
This special little platter is 7 3/4\" x 5 3/4\" x 3/4\" tall. White with black checkerboard edge, black New York Yacht Club burgee & private signal, along with a black masquerade mask. Marked Mintons - Higgins & Seiter NY on the back. The Minton mark appears to date to the period of 1873 - 1912. Believed to be the private signal of Paul C. Nicholson business leader, philanthropist & yachtsman. The Nicholson family started the Rhode Island Nicholson File Company in 1864. Please see photo of his private signal.
