Made (in China) by Dickie Spielzeug a German toy company. VW \"New Beetle\" electric powered R/C Dealer Model Distributed by Volkswagen of America Parts Division, Auburn Hills, MI. Includes the instruction sheet.

I bought this at a local church yard sale. I cannot find a date anywhere on the box or instructions.I also can\'t find a lot of info on this thing.

NOTE - The New Beetle was introduced in 1998. This box has NO UPC computer check out mark which to me means it was not intended to be sold in any store. By 1998 every retail product had a UPC mark.In other words I don\'t think you could go into a store and buy these. Probably given away by some VW dealers when they sold a New Beetle or sold by the dealership to promote the New Beetle. The original box has the VW emblem and more or less generic graphics like smaller non R/C dealer models.

The box says that this car comes with a rechargeable battery pack and charger but this one did not actually come with those items. This one runs on regular batteries.

Nice condition, played with very little. Includes batteries installed in car and R/C controller. tested and ready to run right out of the box.

The car is 13.5\" long and 6\" wide at the mirrors. The box measures 20\" long X 7.25\" X 7\". net weight in the box is 3.6 lb. so buyer pays shipping on 5 pounds well packed.
