This product is a vintage 1/2 plate ambrotype photograph (4-1/4” x 5-1/2”) framed in a very near mint & rare thermoplastic wall hanging frame with a milk-glass ambrotype. The photograph features a young girl in a fancy dress holding a basket and in sepia tone and is an original production from the mid to late 1800s. The milkglass ambrotype is in excellent condition and comes housed in a rare thermoplastic union “wall frame”. The frame is nearly mint and measures 6-7/8" x 8-1/8". This piece is a unique and valuable addition to any collection of vintage photography. Has 1 small square nail holding wood- backed image into the frame.

Condition: Very near mint, no chips or cracks & just has a very small amount of the gold gilt missing at bottom of oval opening. Otherwise a mint vintage 1/2 plate Union wall frame. Photo is mint with no visible flaws. Please see photos.
