I am giving it a conservative estimate age of circa 1960s, this is based on the colors and material used for the tassels. It may be older, I am unsure. I have seen similar saddle blankets said to be from the 1930s but ultimately I am leaving it up to the buyer to determine. I tested a piece of a tassel and they are synthetic and I believe they are acrylic. The blanket is definitely handspun wool, and has all the design/loom features of a Navajo artesian rug.This beautiful and vintage hand spun wool Navajo saddle blanket is double sided and quite thick. It size is considered a \"single-size\" blanket. It\'s design features a open field with a Greek key trimmed pattern. Crafted by hand using traditional techniques. The dark gray, natural off-white, and teal colors create a stunning MCM pattern. Ornamented with handmade tassels (made from acrylic yarn).
