Native Pueblo Vase Horsehair Raku Reticulated Adobe Dwelling Gold Accents VTG 8\":

From an estate, exact vintage unknown: Native American (possibly Acoma) Pueblo pottery vase, raku horsehair method. Relief village with reticulated / cutout windows. Gold color detailing on the ladders and vigas. No cracks or chips, but there are scratches (see photos). Measures about 8 inches tall, 8 inches wide, and 4 inches deep.

Horsehair raku, per Wikipedia, is defined as “a method of decorating pottery through the application of horsehair and other dry carbonaceous material to the heated ware. The burning carbonaceous material creates smoke patterns and carbon trails on the surface of the heated ware that remain as decoration after the ware cools.”
