Previously, it was a part of an older, privatecollection found on family property in the Santa Ynez Mountains in California. No public lands, caves,graves, or mounds were disturbed.

Use of charmstones as fishing and rainmakingcharms is central to Latta\'s account, which provides a short song associatedwith charmstone use, as well as interesting archaeological information. 1949
