NOS! Vintage 1950’s JV Reed & Co. MCM PaintedMetal Waste Basket Trash Can Unused This listing is for a vintageJ.V. Reed & Co. Wedgewood blue metal waste basket. The painted metal trash can is in very good,unused condition. There is some wear from70+ years of storage including very minor paint loss on the rims and an occasionalshallow dent (without creasing). Thepaint is clean and clear, and the surface has a nice shine. The mid-century modern waste basket measuresapproximately 9 1/8” tall with an oval shape of 9 ¾” by 7” at the top and 7 ½”by 5 ¼” at the bottom. The thin metal trashcan weighs just over 10ounces. The stamped bottom shows it wasmade in the 1950’s or early 1960’s by J. V. Reed & Co. of Louisville,Kentucky. Weobtainedthis and other similar waste cans at the liquidation of an 80-year-old neighborhoodhardware store in Northeast Philadelphia.Please visit TheOther Man's Storeto view the complete collection.
