I have a vintage compact with a mirror and puff by the Elgin Company that has never been used from from 1949 and is in excellent condition. This lovely compact comes with its original box box which say American Beauty by Elgin American. The box says "Bronze" and has the original price of $1.95. It has a little discoloration from age (see picture #9) on the underneath left side of the closure. This compact is made in the USA and it also comes with a note from the original where she writes she received it as a gift from her boyfriends mother for her first Christmas with him in 1949. She said it was so beautiful and had few nice things so she could never use it. Great collectible for your vanity or as a decorative piece. Shipping will be $6.75 USPS Ground Advantage.
