Genuine USGI. NSN 4610-00-268-9890 BAG, WATER STERILIZING. Cylindrical, Olive Drab, Water Storage and Distribution Systems (WSDS), Kitchen Company Level Field Feeding, Cotton Duck Single Wall.
These USGI Bags were manufactured in 2005 by HRFI, Huntsville, AL. They\'ve been on Uncle Sam\'s shelf for 17 years, now ready for your next adventure.Own a piece of history! This item has been in use by US Military from WWI through Vietnam and beyond. The Lister Bag was named for William Lyster, a US ARMY surgeon who experimented with water purification and developed the original bag just before WWI. We\'ve included some photos of Lister Bags in use in the field. Pic #3 above shows a Lister Bag in use during 1960 Boy Scout Jamboree in Colorado Springs.
