It features the "Seven Swans a-Swimming"

A Turquoise gemstone highlights the center of obverse side

The design was inspired by the portals over the entrance to

the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, Italy

The cathedral was started in 1296 and major construction and dedication

were completed in 1436

Decoration continued and the exterior facade was completed in 1903

There are two versions of this 1977 Medallion:

One is all sterling silver on both sides

The other is highlighted on one side with a genuine Turquoise Center
