provenance
"Peg" (alluded toat the top
of the page) was gifted this
set on the passing of a friend
a retired interior designer;
she believes that after buying
itsometime during 1991-2005
when Berry was in Christofle's
active production, the original
owner stashed it away where it
was out of sight and forgotten
over the next approx. 30 years
condition
we've borrowing "new old" to
describe the condition because
there is no apparent use to
any of the pieces; each item is
protected by its original Christofle
plastic sleeve (with one end open)
which in turn was place in a Christofle
box; in the center of the group
photo, you'll see six open boxes,
each with a five piece place setting
& each box atop another w/the same;
below these are 2 horizontal boxes,
each with 6 butter knives; to the
left is a box of 8 (not 12) "lunch
knives and to the right, a box of
12 cocktail forks; below each of
these side boxes is a group of
3 demi-tasse spoons each -- for
the amount of $$ we're asking
and one of you will be spending, we
think something besides domestic
shipping should be on the house &
these spoons are so darn cute :-)***
