For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked Limited Edition Montblanc Nicolaus Copernicus Fountain Pen from the 2003 Patron of the Art Series. This particular fountain pen is a Limited Edition 1368 of 4810. This pen comes with the original lacquered wooden box, Montblanc Limited Edition Documentation, and the Medium nib sticker adhered to the barrel. This fountain pen has never been inked, and is considered in Mint Condition fitted with an 18K (.88mm) Medium nib.
This fountain pen is a limited edition Montblanc creation that pays homage to Nicolaus Copernicus. Nicolaus Copernicus’ view of the universe is the model for the Limited Edition created in his honor. Nine rings in 925 sterling silver encircle the anthracite-colored lacquer barrel. The sun is symbolized by the greenish-glowing faceted meteorite stone that decorates the clip. The luxurious 18K nib is engraved with Copernicus' orbital charts. This Montblanc is a limited edition and the number of this particular pen is "1368 of 4810".
The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, dings, dents, enameling loss, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. This Montblanc is a limited edition number, "1368 of 4810" and is stamped on the cap lip. The top ring of the cap is stamped with, " 925, StØD, 925 Balance/Scale, and Bear's Head hallmarks". The fountain pen measures 5 1/2" capped and 6 1/2" posted. This pen weighs in at 2.13 ounces, which one can feel the weight of the pen and know it is well made!
This Montblanc fountain pen uses a piston filling system, I have tested it with water, and works as it was designed to. It is in perfect working order and does so very smoothly. This pen has never seen ink and is considered in Mint, New Old Stock condition.
The medium nib of this fountain pen is made of 18K gold and features an exquisitely designed engraving of Copernicus' orbital charts. The nib is stamped with, "4810, 18K/750, 2003, MONTBLANC" and is considered a MEDIUM point, measuring .88mm with digital calipers. The fountain pen has never been used with ink in order to preserve its pristine condition for the next owner or collector.
This Montblanc comes in the original Montblanc wooden black lacquered box, the Limited Edition Booklet, and the original Medium nib sticker that is adhered to the barrel.
This Montblanc Patron of the Art Nicolaus Copernicus Fountain Pen has always been a favorite in the Patron of the Arts series. This one is in impeccable condition, having never been used with ink with a barrel and cap free from any imperfections! I would classify this Montblanc Nicolaus Copernicus Fountain Pen as being in never-inked, mint condition.
