Hand-Carved Wooden Bookends, Likely Black Forest Made

These hand-carved wooden bookends are in a class of their own! Depicting a man and woman, the exceedinglyattentive eye for detail is pronounced in both carvings. The man lookswistfully in the distance as he stirs his porridge with a full knapsack at hisfeet. The woman, on the other hand, looks inward and wearier as her bowl is almostempty and knapsack smaller and so light that it can be held on her arm.

These hand-carved bookends are eachmade from a solid piece wood. The pieces are unsigned and are likely from the Black Forest region of Germany or Switzerland.

NOTE: Books not included, sorry!

Condition:

These bookends are in NEAR MINT condition. Theyhave no flaws, damage, or repairs besides a few light spots of exceedingly minorsurface wear. These are exceptional pieces for display.
