This is an exceptionally well made (made circa 1850, most likely in Ohio) Princess Feather quilt with excellent workmanship. The true colors as well as the design and graphics truly make this a high end Princess Feather quilt.

The quilt is hand-pieced, hand-quilted, and hand-applied. The back is also hand-pieced with reverse appliqué. The predominant colors are white, turkey red, green, pink, and yellow. The top and back of the quilt are cotton, and the batting is made of wool. The binding is all done by hand on both sides.

The quilt is in very good condition with a few wear spots on the binding and a few small areas of staining/yellowing. Please see all 13 photos to see both sides of the quilt and up-close photos.

This quilt was handed down to my mother by my grandmother in the late 1960s. It was then passed on to me in the late 1980s. We all lived in northern Ohio. The quilt has been extremely well cared for. For the past 20+ years, I have kept it in a large Rubbermaid container where it has remained in very good condition.
