An excellent opportunity to own a museum quality piece of African tribal art and an amazing price point. This is a hand carved and hand painted Guro Tribe Harvest Mask from the Ivory Coast. The Guro mask represents the spirit of Gu, the wife of Zamble, who was a supernatural being in the Guro belief system. Gu is a protector of young wives and, subsequently, the family into which she has married. This is a stunningly beautiful piece, with natural patina and an overall spectacular appearance ready for display. Truly museum quality.
