This is the updated 2.0 model - please see MKC website and videos to fully understand product and updates they made over the original Stoned Goat. They added an integrated finger guard along the bottom, and a slightly longer & thicker skeletonized handle for improved strength and easier paracord wrapping. If you have larger hands, you’ll immediately notice and appreciate the difference a slightly longer handle makes over the prior MKC models. And finally, they made this in the better Magnacut steel! I own many of MKC’s products, and this is easily one of my favorites. I bought two and decided to just keep one after I got a huge car bill. MKC founder Josh Smith stated in the product video on their website that it’s one of his favorites as well. It's a great, and VERY SHARP knife. I currently own the Stoned Goat 1.0, Stoned Goat 2.0 Magnacut, Mini Speedgoat Magnacut, and the Speedgoat 1.0 Magnacut. If you are an MKC fan, you know what you are buying. If you haven't bought one yet, you don't know what you are missing. I own Buck Knives, Kershaw, Wusthoff, SOG knives, and for their purpose, MKC knives blow them all out of the water regarding edge retention, durability, weight, and sharpness. They are expensive, but well worth it. Buy with confidence! Note: The pictures were taken with a flash to hide my shadow in the photos, so while the blade may look black in the photos, it is not, it is Magnacut Stainless, just like the main listing picture taken from their website.
