This listing is for a rare and finely hand crafted vessel from the Marquis Collection of Beverly Hills, circa 1980s. The modern abstract design is a masterful collage of different wood veneers artfully layered and weaved together to provide a naturalistic appearance. The vessel is built onto a solid wood substrate. The veneer is covered by a thick layer of lacquer which serves to hold the slices of wood in place. Certainly an eye catching piece that will own any space. It measures about 25” high x 8.75” diameter. Gently used, there is a nick on an upper right corner as well as blemishes to two bottom corners. All shown in the photos.
