Milk Glass Antique Decanter w Original Stopper McKee Satin/Doe Skin Opal Barber decanter. This is a white milk glass antique bottle that was probably used during the Victorian era and placed on a dresser table. The decanter is often referred as a dresser decanter, Holland Carafe, Water Carafe, Toiletry Bottle, Barber Bottle, Cologne Bottle, Scent Bottle, Boudoir Decanter, Perfume Bottle, Bureau Decanter, or Vanity Bottle.(You get the idea, there are several names that the Victorians used to refer to these decanters.)This old piece is covered with ornate decorative swirls all over it. The paint was cold applied and is referred to as gold gilding. Beautiful flower and green and mauve coloring. This Early American Pattern Glass would look lovely on any table. It is made of blown glass from a mold. The stopper is original to the bottle and has the same design as the bottle. The white color is opaque and satiny in nature.Measures: 9" tall with stopper x 7" wide. No cracks. The rim does have some tiny chips due to use and age.
