Mid Century Italian 1978 Studio Del Campo Italy Enameled Wall Art Charger Dish:
$1899.99

Beautiful decorative plate, bowl, charger, vide poche from famed Italian ceramic house Studio Del Campo of Turin, Italy. Manufactured 1978.
Plate is comprised of enamel coated bronze with a copper trim. Underside features dark terrazzo style pattern while surface features Del Campo's classic 'wave' formation. The enameled ceramic on the surface also features Del Campo's classic "burnt" or "crackled" finish where you see the ceramic showing an almost mosaic texture in stripes and striations. Gorgeous colors of purlpe, gold, silver, bronze, and coper. Truly stunning! There does appear to be some crazing or cracks in the enamel. Pretty common for a piece this age and they do't really detract from the aesthetic quality as they are only superficial. I've provided close up pictures for reference as that's they only way you can notice them even in person.
The very short pedestal foot is comprised of a bronze ring surrounding black glass inscribed with "Del Campo 78 Italy" in script.
Overall, the piece is quite heavy for its size. Weighing in at 7 pounds 12.2 ounces.Measures nearly 15.5" in diameter.Despite its fragile and delicate appearance, its a durable addition to your decor.

Studio Del Campo of Turin, Italy (1957-1998), was a collaborative name shared by craftsmen-artists Virgilio Bari, Euclide Chiambretti, Lidia Lanfranconi, and Bianca Tuninetto. Characteristics of their enamel works were the extreme precision of the finishes and the use of silver leaf under glazes, as well as searching for new designs and new forms. Always able to bring attention to the quality of their works, they agreed to work only for prestigious designers such as Gio Ponti and the architects Toni Cordero and Ettore Sottsass. Virgilio Bari was also an independent painter and sculptor.Banana For Scale. Not included!
