I bought it but never used it; I was scared the stenciled part would fall off - it had been repaired before I bought it - still, it is a very unusual piece and would look lovely in a rustic kitchen holding herbs ( which is why I bought it....)Again, please study pictures carefully; there are documented issues.The fluted top measures 7.5\" across - the high part of the piece is 8 3/4\" and the base is 3 1/2\"A very handsome, rare piece, warts and all. Oh, and it is VERY heavy.The asking price reflects the \"issues\"
