Mexican CAT SCULPTURE possibly SERGIO BUSTAMANTE mixed welded metal BRASS/COPPER! Offered for purchase is this wonderful handmade mixed metal cat sculpture, possibly by renowned Mexican artist Sergio Bustamante. It is unsigned as far as I can see, but is beautifully put together of handcrafted and soldered sections of copper and brass, with black onyx or glass eyes. It is mostly brass sections, with the inside of the ears and the nose being copper. The proportions and the pose are perfect. Dimensions are 7-1/2" long x about 4-1/2" wide x just over 8-1/2" tall. Condition is very good with just one minor dimple on the top of the head near the left ear which may be original (see photos.) There are no other dents and no scratches.It has overall even patina from age but it could be polished back to bright and shiny if desired.A nice addition to any home or collection...
