Metal Tin Advertising Restorff & Bettmann’s Glycerole Shoe Oil Hinged Lid ANTQ
This antique metal tin once provided advertising for Restorff & Bettmann’s Glycerole oil and dressing for shoes, and probably held their products. The outside is designed to look like an old steamer trunk. The main color is mustard with black designs and lettering. The inside of the tin is silver tone. The inside of the lid is gold tone and displays an ad for the company’s product in black lettering. There is no key for the latch. This tin measures approximately 13\" wide x 9\" deep x 7\" high.
Pre-owned. The hinges work well and the latch aligns with the keyhole, but the key is missing. This tin appears to be well used, with some dirtiness on the outside and some scratches and rub marks on the outside. There is one smallish dent on the right side and a very small dent on the backside.
From the estate of our Uncle Paul, born in 1927, who collected all kinds of things in Denver, Colorado, from the mid-1950s until his untimely death in the mid-1980s. It’s going to take us a LONG time to liquidate the estate, so we invite you to keep watching for our listings.
