Mermaids: ca. 1800\'s \"Rhine Gold Cuban Made Havana Cigars.\" Jos. Seidenberg\'s Rhine Gold, 179, 181, 183 Lewis St., New York City, NY.
PLUS: a clean and bright Ayer\'s Hair Vigor w/ bottle, mermaids, shipwreck, etc. trade card.
\"Rhinemaidens\" - are these three mermaid water-nymphs (Rheintöchter or \"Rhine daughters\")
who appear in operas by Richard Wagner, esp. Das Rhinegold ... where a Gnome falls prey to their powers.
CONDITION: Displays as shown, but please NOTE: this is the prized front cover half from a rare highly-sought-after Cuban Cigar fantasy tobacco folder. The back half of the folder (flowers) was not saved by the original collector who pasted this fabulous much-preferred image into a scrapbook. MERMAID cards w/ good images are VERY HARD TO FIND (except the classic Ayer\'s Hair mermaid cards).
