This listing is for Marvel Collectors Item Classics 21 from June 1969. I bought this comic used in 1969. It has been well cared for and in storage since 1993. Your satisfaction is guaranteed!
This issue contains reprints from Fantastic Four 29 \"It Started On Yancy Street\" by Stan Lee & Jack Kirby, Tales Of Suspense 62 \"The Origin Of The Mandarin\" by Stan Lee & Don Heck, Tales Of Suspense 56 \"The Watcher\'s Sacrifice\" Watcher story by Stan Lee & Larry Lieber, and Strange Tales 130 \"The Defeat Of Dr Strange\"by Stan Lee & Steve Ditko. This issue also contains pin-ups of The Thing, Dr Strange and a brand new pin-up of Medusa by Barry Windsor-Smith.The cover still has some gloss but also shows signs of having been read when held under reflected light. There is a diagonal crease starting just above the V in the word Marvel which extends down through the top of the building behind Johnny Storm. There is handling wear across the top of the cover and some faint fingerprints in the top right corner. The top of the spine has a paper tear and there is general handling wear down the left side.The next to last photo shows the spines of all the issues of Marvel Collectors Item Classics that I am currently offering. The spine of this issue is 2nd from the top of the stack. The indicia is perfectly centered. The interior pages are yellowed with bright vivid color. I wrote the original issue number for the Fantastic Four story neatly at the top of the splash page and I did the same thing for the Iron Man story, see scans. Despite the cover problems, this is still a very nice copy of this issue.
