This is a replica of the clock at Marshall Fields in honor of the 100th anniversary of the installation of the two Clocks that adorn the State Street Flagship Store. Anyone from Chicago can remember friends and family saying "meet me under the clock" on State Street. The Clock was famously immortalized in a Norman Rockwell cover of the Saturday Evening Post. This clock is battery operated and is made of Pewter. The back states “LENOX, KIRK STIEFF PEWTER”. It measures appx. 4” tall, 3 ¼” wide & with the permanent stand it is about 1 ½” deep. You need to open the front to replace the battery. I would have a jeweler show you how to do that for the first time. It is just too beautiful to be scratched. I was told by the person I bought it from that it has a new battery. It may date back to 1997. We were going to give it to a Chicago friend, but travel plans changed. It is in pristine condition.
