My Mother died over 20 years ago, and I am finally listing this beautiful Marie Antoinette boudoir doll on so some othercollector can enjoy her. Lavishly dressed in embroidered pink taffeta with sheer and satin bows, and beige rope tassels. Herunderskirt is pale pink with a sheer rolled edging featuring sheer pink ribbon roses above a sheer skirt. She is made ofporcelain and is a half doll, most of which are from the hips up to the head.She holds a golden fan with the same rosette andtassels. Her blouse has sheer cap sleeves with ruffles. Her face is serene, which might hide a headache from the hugepompadour wig with large corkscrew ringlets decorated with another sheer ribbon bow and pink rosette. In real life MarieAntoinette wore huge hoops under her skirts. This one has a padded two-tone base allowing her to preside over thosearound her. It is also a pin cushion. The doll is signed on the back, but I cannot read it. If anyone knows who the designer is, I would love to know.It also has the year of production, 2007, and her number 136/500. She is in perfect condition and will be very carefullypacked in a sturdy box with lots of padding. She stands 9 1/2-inches tall and is 11-inches wide.
