Capistrano Mining Company \"Yourdirect source for Sapphire Gravel Paydirtfrom the Sapphire Mines of Montana, Benitoite Ore from the Benitoite Gem Mine in San Benito County, CA, along with U.S. Mined Gemstones and Fine Mineral Specimens from the United States and Worldwide.\" Out of an old collection is this very fine pseudomorph of velvety green crystallized malachite replacing azurite.Here is a beautiful example of this old classic from many years ago, from this closed locality.The original azurite crystals were blocky crystals up to 2.2 cm, which formed over what appears to be a plate of copper.Sharply formed inter-grown crystals, covered in a lustrous chatoyant velvet malachite, cover the top of this specimen.Fine specimens such as this, are rare to find in the market these days.
