Maitland Smith Style Antique Book Match Box The Great Match Like New
This came from a house that was loaded with Maitland Smith furniture and accessories. I don't see identification that confirms it is that brand, but it is definitely that style. This is also called a match strike box. The strike strip has never been used and I see no indication there has ever been anything held in the box. These is no residue of any kind and no odors.
This would function nicely to hold fireplace matches or it would be a nice touch in a smoking room.
Dimensions are 4.75" x 3.50" x nearly 2".
It's mad eof tooled leather over wood and it's a rich reddish colored finish.
