Here are 5 polished Silk Agates from Madagascar (lot C), excellent specimens with eyes, banding, and interesting quartz. I tried to show different sides of the stones in the pics. I believe these are Zayamara or Mad River agates that have been heated (brings out red color) and infused with carbonized (burnt) sugar to add black to the stones. Zayamara / Mad River agates are similar to Montana / Yellowstone agates, very clear with some color here and there. I\'m not certain about this but that\'s what I think! I will also add that the craftsmanship is excellent, and these agates have particularly wild banding patterns.
The total weight is just over 1 lb 11 oz or 765 grams.
