MONTBLANC 2016 Artisan THE SERPENT 110Heritage Collection ROUGE ET NOIRLimited EditionThe Heritage collection Rouge et Noir The Serpent revives a stylish symbol (the serpent) from the early twentieth century, recalling the period when Montblanc introduced one of its first technical innovations in the ground-breaking ‘Rouge et Noir’ fountain pen.
This edition depicts the fascinating serpent symbol encircling the cap and barrel with smoth, undulating curves, while recalling rhe original Rouge et Noir fountain pen from 1906 in the coral coloured cap top.
The Serpent Limited Edition 110 features the serpent motif not only on the cap and on the barrel, but also on the forepart leading into the handcrafted Au 750 solid gold nib.
With its fine engraving and ruby eyes, the nib becomes the head of the serpent that winds its way along the entire lenght of the fountain pen.
The resul is simply terrific: Masterpiece.
Cap: Cap and barrel are made of PVD coated titanium. A filigree work and hand-engraved Au750 solid white gold serpent is winding around the cap and barrel.
Cap Top:The emblem is made of coral lacquer and a mother-of-pearl inlay.
Clip:The Au750 solid gold clip is incorporated with a head of a serpent, which eyes are set with two rubies (~0,045 ct.).
Overall Design:The serpent was an extravagant symbol which was used by artist of the Art Deco as well as the Art Nouveau period. The design is dominated by the serpent as a symbol of the lifestyle of the 1920s.
Cone:The cone is made of Au750 white gold.
The Nib:The Au750 solid gold nib is engraved with the serpent\'s head and the eyes set with 2 rubies (~0,045 ct).
Limited to 110 pieces, as homage to the 110 years of Montblanc.
The concerned LE 110 The Serpent comes in mint / Full Set condition. Never used, never inked. Black lacquered presentation box with all original packaging and papers (inner box, outer box, white carboard box, booklet/Certificate).
