Toots Shor was a world famous restaurant located on West 51st. Street, New York City. It was a must stop for celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Jackie Gleason and sports stars of the day while in New York City. This iconic restaurant closed in 1959 so here is your chance to own a piece of NYC history.This ashtray has an unusual triangle/oval shape and is approximately 4-1/2” x 2-1/2”. It has a maroon glaze with gold lettering and trim. The condition is terrific with no chips or cracks but there is wear to gold trim mostly on the cigarette slots. The bottom has the hallmark; HALL Made in USA 683. This could use a good wash, all I did was rinse it off.
