Up for sale is this superb vintage Navajo silver ring having turquoise and coral chip inlay geometric designs with silver rope on the sides of the handcarved graduated solid silver band with silver handstampings! Totally Awesome! The ring face measures around 22mmx17m The ring size is around 11. 4.5mmband ring silver. Sturdy 11.9 grams. Cir Mid Century + no marks but tested as sterling silver great addition to your collection ❤️ The art of chip inlay is largely credited to Tommy Singer and the Singer family, who were mid-century jewelry artisans in the Navajo tribe, and as they developed and perfected the craft, they shared the technique with their fellow members. Native Americans often combine turquoise with their coral in silver jewelry. Both minerals, borne of water … the former on land, the latter by sea … symbolize the union of earth and water and the red associated with birth bound by the purity of white silver.
