MCM Danish Deer Trivet/Mini Cheese Plate VOSS Denmark Enameled Cast Iron Scandi:

This is a most unusual trivet featuring 4 highly-stylized deer in a one-tree “forest”. A woodland scene, if you will.
The black deer against the yellow background is quite striking. I love the itty-bitty ring eyes on the two larger deer.
It’s rather small at 5.5” x 7.5”, but heavy due to it being made of cast iron. It weighs about one pound.
There is a hole for hanging.
It’s in fair condition. It’s seen use over the years. There are scratches to the enamel on the front surface as shown in photos, noticeable on the legs of the 2 larger deer. (A Sharpie could fix that.) There is also edge wear, and a tiny pock or two where the enamel bubbled in production.
There are 3 feet on the back, and one is covered with a red plastic table/counter protector. It is embossed: VOSS MADE IN DENMARK
This is such an interesting piece. It is a great example of mid-century Scandinavian design.
I think it would make a fun little cheese board.
