My father died ten years ago and a couple of years ago, the clock stopped working. I took it apart, did several adjustments, cleaned it, and even replaced the motor – all to no avail. When I sent it to you it was not keeping time and it was making some sick sounding noises.It looked ok or pretty good but it was a disappointment. How long had I looked at it hoping for a miracle? My cherished, nearly 70-year-old Jefferson clock -- a wedding present to my parents that mesmerized me as a child and that I eventually inherited -- stopped working last week.
