This is an OriginalSeptember 1979 Issue of MAD MAGAZINE: The classic humor magazine from the 1950sto the present. It was originally a comic book published by Bill Gaines, butedited by Harvey Kurtzman, and it was one of the famous EC Comics (E.C. Comics)that were banned in the mid-1950s, due to excessive horror content. At thatpoint, publisher Gaines turned it into a magazine with its 24th issue, and heand Kurtzman soon had a falling out, and Al Feldstein, who had been Gaines\'writing partner on the Mad comic books, took over, and the magazine became oneof the great success stories of the 1950s and 1960s (led by its trademarkcharacter, Alfred E. Neuman, a goofy looking guy whose slogan was \"What,me worry?\"), with a circulation in the millions at its peak. He neverallowed any advertising of any kind in the magazine! In recent years, there wasa \"Mad\" TV show which perfectly captures the spirit of the magazine!

Note that wehave attempted to check to see if the magazine is complete and uncut, and webelieve that it is. However, there is a slight possibility that we might havemissed a small cut or a page that was neatly removed, and if that happens, youcan return the magazine.
