What a beautiful and unusual vase! made of very white porcelain, in the style of a French wedding vase. It has a handpainted bouquet of flowers accented with shiny gold, but is unmarked, so who made it, and when, is unknown. The wedding vase was traditionally given to the couple for their wedding day, for them to keep to display and remember that day.

The handpainted flowers in the middle are a pink rose, a daisy, and blue and purple flowers nestled in leaves and greenery. The gold on the leaves decorating the sides and highlighting the vase is so shiny, it looks like 22-24K gold. It is so shiny, that if your notice some green reflected on the gold, that is the color of the shirt I was wearing when taking her pictures! This gold does show some wear, on the edges of the vase, the leaves, and the decoration around the base. The combination of worn shiny gold and handpainted flowers makes it truly unique, and that was a remembrance of a wedding day in the past, something to think about. It would be lovely to hold flowers, but beautiful enough to display in a bookcase or in a china cabinet all by itself.

The vase is 8 inches tall, and 6 & 1/2 inches wide, and the base is 3 & 5/8 inches long by 3 & 1/4 inches wide. It is in excellent shape, with no chips, cracks, or crazing upon close examination with a bright light. The glaze is still very shiny inside and outside.

I pack with lots of bubble wrap for safe shipping and ship out quickly, sometimes same day, always by next business day, and sometimes on Saturdays if I can get it packed and to the post office before they close at noon.
