This listing is for 7 Fountain Pen Reference books. These books are duplicates of books contained in my personal Fountain Pen Reference library. Even with Google and the Internet they make excellent reference materials and will make a nice start to a Fountain pen reference library for beginning collectors.
This lot consists of 4 Hardcover and 3 Softcover books. The books are as follows:
1. FOUNTAIN PENS OF THE WORLD by Andreas Lambrou. This book is missing its Dust Jacket. This hardcover book was printed in 1998 and is probably the most beautiful reference book you can buy on Fountain pens. This large book measures 9 x 12 inches. This edition is 448 pages long and contains the largest selection of pens ever published in professional full color reproductions. See Photo 3 for a description of this book from a Fountain Pen Hospital catalog and Photos 4-9 for some sample pages from the book. Photos 8&9 lists all the color plates contained in this book showing some of the most beautiful fountain pens ever made.2. FOUNTAIN PEN-HISTORY AND DESIGN. This hardcover book was published in 1998 and is the English Version of the first book which was printed in Italy. It measures just over 9 x 11 inches and contains 191 pages. Photo 10 shows the cover of this book and Photo 11 shows a sample page. It contains beautiful photos of both vintage and modern fountain pens from around the world.
3. COLLECTIBLE FOUNTAIN PENS by Glen Bowen. This softcover book was originally published in 1982, this copy is from 1991. It measures a little over 8 inches X 11 inches and contains 314 pages. It covers fountain pens by the Big Four manufacturers during the Golden Era of Fountain pens (Parker, Sheaffer, Wahl-Eversharp and Waterman). Like many of the early reference books on fountain pens it contains copies of original ads which give you quite a bit of information on the various pens advertised. Photos of actual pens in the book are in black and white. Photo 12 shows the cover of this book. Photo 13 shows a sample page from the book.
4. FOUNTAIN PENS PAST AND PRESENT by Paul Erano. This hardcover book is from 1999 and measures just under 9 inches x 11.25 inches. It's 253 pages in length. First blank page of the book is autographed by the author to the original owner of the book. Photo 14 shows the front over of this book and Photo 15 shows a sample page from the book.
5. COLLECTING AND VALUING EARLY FOUNTAIN PENS by Stuart L. Schneider and RoBerta B. Etter. This softcover book is one of the first Fountain pen reference books published. This book was printed in 1980. It measures just under 7 inches by 10 inches. It is 104 pages of reprinted ads with a 2-page price guide from 1989 at the end. Photo 16 shows the cover of this book.
6. THE FOUNTAIN PEN, A COLLECTOR'S COMPANION by Alexander Crum Ewing. This 191-page hardcover book measures just under 8.5 X 5 inches. It was printed in 1997. It contains nice color photos of some classic vintage and modern fountain pens. The majority of the book deals with more modern fountain pens. Photo 17 shows the cover of this book.
7. FOUNTAIN PENS published by Chronicle Books in 1994. This softcover book measures just 6.5 X 5.25 inches and contains 142 pages. It contains some beautiful photos of both vintage and modern fountain pens. Under or beside each photo the descriptions are printed in both English and Italian. Photo 18 shows the cover of this book.
