History of this Collection: These are a collection of drawings that originally appeared in Frank Leslie\'s weekly magazine during the Civil War. They were reproduced from the original copper plates in 1894 and sold both as a 2 volume book set and a 16 part serialized version (the ones for sale here). Each part of the serialized version has between 20 and 40 drawing/prints.
