Constructed in 1923, its rich history intertwines with the city's cultural fabric. Originally built as a memorial to honor World War I veterans, the Coliseum evolved into a versatile venue, hosting a myriad of events ranging from concerts to political rallies. However, it was in the realm of sports where the Coliseum truly left an indelible mark. During the era when the Dodgers played at the Coliseum, from 1958 to 1961, it became an emblem of baseball's westward expansion. In 1958, the Dodgers made history by relocating from Brooklyn to Los Angeles, bringing Major League Baseball to the West Coast for the first time.
