A bit of history, in the spring of 2021, Jim Waddle and his staff at the former Hall China Company in East Liverpool, Ohio undertook the task of recovering pottery throughout the plant. They collected, cleaned, and sorted hundreds of pieces of wares in the mold shop, decal room, and other storage areas. The majority of the pieces were ultimately placed in what used to be the retail outlet, The Hall Closet.
The collection, spanned over one hundred years of production. Some pieces were standard, while many others were experimental, including shapes with trial glazes and decorations, many of which are unique and potentially undocumented.
Now is your chance to own a piece of that history and since some of the pieces are experimental, they are often one-of-a-kind, making them even more special. Up for your consideration is this Longaberger Pitcher from the Hall China Company Collection.
This was a test piece for Longaberger Pottery.
It measures 4 inches in height.
No chips or cracks.
Since this was a prototype piece it may not be perfect.
