Annie Rooney was a rival syndicate\'s attempt to duplicate the success of Little Orphan Annie, with a character also based on an 1890s song, a dog, and plenty of troubles. Annie tries to escape from her cruel legal guardian, Miss Meany. 32 pages, B&W.
