Original and obviously rare Letter and Cover (one in same) from George S___?, Secretary, Provident Institution for Savings Bank dated 1835 to William Jenkins, Providence,, RI, informing him he had been chosen for the Board of Directors at their annual meeting. Cover has no postage and is single sheet that folds open to size of approx. 8.5 x 9.25\". Condition is old there is piece missing from one corner, foxing and folds. Zoom in on the pics as part of description. This unique and probably one of the oldest items remaining from the bank which formed in 1816 still in existence.
