[AUTOGRAPH LETTER - THEATER -   19th/20th century FRENCH ACTOR]
-
1 letter on white paper
Very precise stage directions...a rigorous professional...
\"I saw Mister Claretie. Everything is heard; we will play the Nerine\'s trickery, comedy in one act in verse by Théodore de Banville...The scene represents a public square in Naples; in the background the sea, to the left of the spectator a house; on stage on the right a bench; accessories are: a large bag that can hold a man; this bag will have to be split along its entire length, then sewn up with a very light thread, so that it can be easily ripped open; another bag of the same size and swollen with fabrics and sequins is needed...a long bat, a long closing knife. The characters in the play are Scapin and Nérine. You can put on the poster my title of member of the association, that can only be very pleasant to me. And now I am waiting for a letter giving me the necessary instructions for my departure; Miss Ludwig is warned, she accepts...\"
