- André Beaunier is a French novelist and literary critic, born September 22, 1869 in Évreux, and died December 10, 1925 in his home in Paris. BiographySon of an attorney from Évreux, André Beaunier entered the École Normale Supérieure in 1890.He was a literary columnist for the magazine des Deux Mondes in 1912, then an editorial writer. and dramatic critic at the Écho de Paris in 1916.
He lived in Le Vésinet in the 1920s.

In 1925, he was president of the Free Society of Agriculture, Sciences, Arts and Belles-Lettres of the Eure.
His wife Jeanne, daughter of the painter Jules Richomme is a singer opera mezzo-soprano, who sang at the Paris Opera (Guillaume Tell, Rigoletto...) under the name of Raunay. She created leading roles and sang works by Vincent d\'Indy or his best man. and friend the musician Gabriel Fauré. She sang Verdi on stage at Covent Garden with the tenor Caruso. She gave singing lessons and published collections of memories including Un diner avec M. Degas in 1929.
