[SIGNED AUTOGRAPH LETTER - FRENCH WRITER 20TH - JOURNALIST - ROYALISM MONARCHISM]
-

slip of paper on the letterhead of the Federalist Review
\"Indeed, I did receive your letter and I did not reply to it; you will excuse me; the politico-religious events of recent times, the direction taken by the french gazette, are absolutely foreign to my silence which you will kindly attribute only to negligence; it is true that for several months I have had an article by you on marble; only we changed the typography of the review, I cannot publish it as is, it would be a typographical error; and I am moreover so heavy with manuscripts and so light with money that I cannot give my review, for the moment, any other character than that which it has had until now, that of a literary journal... \"

Jacques REYNAUD1894-1965
 Jacques Reynaud
Birth: Lyon (Rhône), 1894Died: Pontoise (Val-d\'Oise), 1965 Poet, playwright, director, magazine director.
President of the Association of Friends of Henri Ghéon (1875-1944) French poet and playwright
Jacques Reynaud edited several magazines in the 1920s/1930s, The federalist review, Latinity, The Review of Western Countries, etc...literary periodicals of royalist inspiration.
Close to the ideas of Charles Maurras and L\'Action française (which most of the editors follow), the editorial line of these various journals is similar to that of the Critical review of ideas and books of Jean Rivain and Eugène Marsan and of the Universal Review by Jacques Bainville and Henri Massis.
Against literary and political modernism, it defends a neo-classicism whose representatives are mostly from the Greco-Roman tradition and the seventeenth century, an era which also coincides with the golden age of the French monarchy.
