Up for sale is a beautiful antique 18 piece tea set. Includes six tea trios - six tea cups, six 5 1/2" saucers and six 7 1/4" cake or sandwich plates. Each plate and saucer has a scalloped edge and a gold filigree border. The center of each and the cups have a classical courting couple scene - several different scenes. The crossed rod mark on the back dates these pieces to 1865 - 1907. In very good condition - some minor wear to the gold filigree on some pieces, no chips, nicks, fleabites or cracks. A hard to find set with this any pieces. These tea trio sets were intended for a formal Tea - the plate was used for tea cakes or tea sandwiches. Next time you host a tea party - do it with class with this gorgeous and romantic set. Local pickup is available to save on shipping cost.
