Who doesn't love a blue and white quilt!! Estate fresh! Indigo blue and white antique quilt. Dates from the late 1800s or very early 1900s. Found during our last trip thru the midwest~this one comes from Indiana. All cottons. LOVE the array of old blue and white patterns! Neat sawtooth square pattern. The blues look a little dark in the photos~definitely a little brighter in person!
Measures 64 x 78All cottons. The backing is the same sheeting as used on the front. Machine pieced and machine quilted. Batting is thin so it displays beautifully!
I have not cleaned or treated this quilt. Has very light yellowing or dinginess and some brown specks. The blue fabrics show age appropriate fading~some have more fading than others. It has some popped seams and broken quilting stitches. There is one hole~it is larger in the back and goes thru all layers with just a small hole on the front blue. She used a flawed blue fabric on one side border~the color did not print right (see last 4 photos). Photos show it all! Sounds worse than it is. You'll have no problem using or displaying this quilt!
